Yipeng Gao

I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at University of Southern California, advised by Prof. Laurent Itti. I am also a student researcher at Google Deepmind.

Previously, I was a research scientist intern at ByteDance Intelligent Creation Lab. I obtained an M.S. degree at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and a B.E. degree at the South China University of Technology.

My research lies in Generative AI. Specifically, I'm recently working on LLM/VLM for 3D generation via code and programming, as well as on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for vision.
